The seminar and symposium forms an integral part in arts education. It works as bridge between the learned scholars and the educated elites as well as authentic source of information and knowledge for students and researchers alike.
With this in view, the Kendra holds number of seminars/symposium at its own as well as at the instance of Central Government/State Governments involving eminent scholars, artists, musicologists, intellectuals from the fields of music and dance. The All-India Kathak Seminar held in seven state capitals, All India Seminar to thrash out problems of Disabled persons, Seminar & Music Festival on Tribal and Folk Music and Dances of Punjab, All India Malhar Utsav, Seminar on Kathak Dance of Jaipur Gharana, A series of Seminars on Gharanas held in six states including – Jammu & Kashmir (Jammu), Uttar Pradesh (Agra), Delhi, West Bengal (Kolkata), Odisha (Bhubaneswar) and Madhya Pradesh (Bhopal) are worth mentioning from the long list of events.
Pracheen Kala Kendra organized a two day International seminar titled “Spandan” on 1st and 2nd December , 2018 at Chandigarh. The aim of this international conference was to highlight the importance of traditional values envisaged in the respective Art forms and also bring out the best in its evolved state. In this seminar world renowned artists like Pt. Chetan Joshi, Mannarkoil Balaji, Vanashree Ravishankar, Dr. Ramadevi and Dr. Mahua Mukherjee shared their experience and perspective about their respective field.
