  Visharad
 
1
Part-I and Part-II examination in Classical Music (Vocal and Instrumental), Classical Dance, Fine Arts (Painting) and Recitation.
There shall be two examinations for the Visharad course in the subjects referred to above
The course for the Visharad examination shall extend over a period of twoacademic years.
   
2 The examination shall be held every year on such date as may be fixed by the Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh in this behalf, the said date of examination being ordinarily notified at least one month before the commencement of the Theory examination.
   
3 Subject to their compliance with the requirements of the Ordinances and Regulations of the Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh , students of the Teaching Departments maintained by the Kendra or of a College affiliated to it or a Constituent College of the Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh shall be eligible for admission.

Subject to their compliance with the requirement of this Ordinance, the following persons shall be eligible for admission to the examination:-
 

Visharad Part-I (4 th Year)

A student of the Teaching Department of Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh.
A student of an affiliated or a Constituent College
A private candidate who fulfills the required conditions as laid down by the Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh , for regular students.
Provided that he or she shall have passed the examination of Bhushan Part-III conducted by Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh or any other examination recognised by the Kendra as equivalent thereto.
 
   
 

Visharad Part-II (5 th Year)

A student of the Teaching Department of Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh.

A student of an affiliated or a Constituent College
A private candidate who fulfills the required conditions as laid down by the Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh , for regular students.
Provided that he or she shall have passed the examination of Visharad Part-I conducted by Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh or any other examination recognised by the Kendra as equivalent thereto.
   
   
5 Every application for admission to the examination shall be in the prescribed form and shall reach the Registrar of the Kendra within the time limit prescribed in this behalf each year.
   
6 The application form shall be accompanied by the examination fee prescribed by the Kendra from time to time.
   
7 If it is discovered that any wrong statement is made by the applicant in the examination form, by error, malpractice or fraud or any other reason(s) whatsoever and whereby the examinee has, in the opinion of the Registrar, been a party in giving wrong information, the Registrar shall have the power at any time to amend the result of such examinee including the cancellation of result. No correspondence of any kind, in this behalf, shall be entertained. In such case decision of the Kendra shall be final and binding on the candidate.
   
8 On the report of the Head of the Department or of the Principal of a college or otherwise, the Registrar may refuse admission to or exclude any candidate from the examination at any stage if he is satisfied that such candidate is not a fit person to be admitted thereto.
   
9 No candidate shall be permitted to appear direct in the Visharad final (5 th Year) examination and he/she must have passed the Matriculation examination, or its equivalent, prior to appearing in the Visharad final examination.
   
10 Minimum age to appear in Visharad final examination shall be 16 years (complete) at the time of filling the examination form and a photocopy of the date of birth certificate shall be attached with the application form.
