Convocation At Bihar & Jharkhand


 

As many as 200 successful candidates of Bhaskar and Visharad of the Annual session 2017-2018 Bi-Annual 2018 Bhaskar Annual 2018 respectively were awarded diplomas in the subjects of Music, Dance and Fine Arts (Painting) at Pracheen Kala Kendra’s convocation of Bihar State held at Vidyapati Bhawan , Patna . The event was split into two sessions- Convocation and Musical Programme featuring artists of repute, eminent Kathak exponent Dr. Samira Koser and Pt. Shyam Kishore Prasad and his daughter Swaradhana . In the conclusion part of musical event , various dance performances were presented by the students of the Kendra.
 
The Convocation commenced with a brief introduction of Kendra’s activities in the field of art and culture. Dr. Rana Awadhesh Kumar, Secretary, Bihar Vidyapeeth was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the convocation while Shri S.A Moin, Former Director, SCERT and Sh. Anup Kumar Sinha, Secretary , BSEB were Guests of Honor on the occasion. Renowned scholar Dr. Shankar Prasad, former President of Bihar Sangeet Natak Akademy delivered the keynote address of the convocation and lauded the efforts of the Kendra in preserving great cultural heritage of the county.
 
As per the tradition of Kendra , eminent personalities from the field of Art, Culture and journalism felicitated by Kendra on the occasion of Convocation. Felicitated personalities were Noted painter Sh. Milan Das , Former Vice Chairman , Bihar Lalit Kala Academy for his contribution in the domain of Fine Arts (Painting). Kendra also took pride in honoring the Smt. Rama Das, Renowned Kathak Exponent, Sh. Sukanta Sarkar, Eminent Journalist from Kolkata & Sh. Uttam Kumar Singh, Director, Indian Institute for Business Management for their remarkable contribution in their respective fields..
 
The convocation was followed by a well-knit musical programme that saw capacity turnout. Sh. Vijoy Prakash, IAS (Retd) Chairman, Bihar Vidyapeeth was the Chief Guest and Dr. Mridula Prakash, Principal, School of Creative Learning was the Guest of Honor in Cultural programme.
